Many thanks - PG); On Tuesday I heard it singing a ‘Chiff-chiff-chiff-chiff-chiff-chiff-chiff-chaff-chaff-chaff-chip’ like call. The bird had a distinctive light yellow strip above the dark line through the eye. The shade of yellow was significantly brighter than that of a normal Chiffchaff or Willow Warbler. On Wednesday I had a good look around the same area for the bird and eventually saw it although I didn’t observe it signing or calling on Wednesday. On both days I observed it around 11:30am and it was in the area between the tower and the pedestrian bridge over the Coppermill stream. I hope this helps, Tim; (Not sure why this was deleted, but poo was also collected directly from the bird in question's bottom and submitted for DNA analysis). - I have no knowledge of this happening and cannot verify that this happened, Tim.''

__NOTOC__

Latest revision as of 00:02, 19 April 2024

Reports posted here can be added to the LNHS database for use in the London Bird Report. To make yours eligible, please send your email address to the London Bird Club Data Manager so you can be contacted if a problem arises. A scalable map of the London recording area can be found here. Please follow our standard format to assist automatic compilation of records into the database. Please list sightings alphabetically by site. Only report sightings of wide interest; records of common birds will be deleted (these should be recorded on Birdtrack or eBird). DO NOT post details of nesting by scarce breeding birds (those included in Schedule 1 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, as amended). Any such reports will be removed; please submit them instead to the appropriate LNHS bird recorder.

- I have no knowledge of this happening and cannot verify that this happened, Tim.
