Only report sightings of wide interest rather than listing all common birds(sightings of a more general nature may be recorded on the General sightings page). DO NOT post details of nesting by scarce breeding birds (those included in Schedule 1 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, as amended). Brockwell Park: House Sparrow response to Steven Robinson - I have photographic evidence that a repair was made to the building in the walled garden, when it was put up for letting about 2 years ago and at least one long term used nest site was blocked off, possibly 2 and I hope this doesn't happen at the house. Brockwell Park: pr Grey Wagtail male with no tail, 2 singing Blackcap, Little Owl, Mistle Thrush, 1 f House Sparrow at ponds - House Sparrow nest sites in building in walled garden have been boarded up and the council intend to renovate the central house Brockwell Hall, which has sparrow nests in the roof and walls (Michael Mac) - I’ve just contacted Iain Boulton (the Lambeth environment officer) about this and he said that the eaves in the roof of the building in the walled garden have not been boarded up and that Brockwell House will be renovated, but it is in the very early stages and will have ecological surveys which will include nesting birds and roosting bats to ensure that there is no intentional harm caused to these protected species or any features they currently use. It seemed to drop down into the grounds of Linden Bridge School (and was being mobbed as it dropped) but could have gone straight through - Lee.
